It is pointless for us to be filled with emotions if we cannot make a difference in other people’s lives. We sit and think there is nothing we can do to change the world because ‘it is just the little me'. However, I believe that if we add a thousand little things done by a thousand little people then together we are changing the world.
1 John 4:21-22 highlights that loving God includes loving
people. Therefore if we see people suffering and we don't act when we are
capable of helping, how can we say that we love God?
Please remember that when you bless others God will make
other people bless you. As it is said, 'to whom much is given much is
required'. Thus, if you are blessed then you are expected to share with people
in need. This is not mandatory however, but let’s bear in mind that we will
only harvest what we sowed. 2 Corinthians 9:10 clearly states that “God is the
one who gives seed to those who plant; he will produce a great harvest from
your goodness”.
If only every one of us according to our capability help
someone, even once in a year, this world would be a better place. It is not
that you think you are superior to the destitute but you are just serving
Christ and allowing God to use you in order to touch them. Remember that a heart
of compassion and servantship produces Christ in others. This on its own will
change the world…!!!!
Stay blessed...xxx
